Setting Up Your Kraus Online E-mail Account

Microsoft Outlook Express

These instructions describe how to set up your Kraus Online e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook Express 6. The process is similar for other versions of Microsoft Outlook Express.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express. Select Accounts from the Tools menu.

2. Go to the Mail tab. Click Add. Select Mail.

3. Type your full name in the Display name field. Click Next.

4. Type your e-mail address in the E-mail address field. Click Next.

5. On the E-mail Server Names screen, provide the following information:

My incoming mail server is a: Select POP3
Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: Type mail.krausonline.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Type mail.krausonline.com
Click Next

6. Type your user name in the Account name field. Type your password in the Password field. Click Next.

7. Click Finish on the confirmation page to save your settings. Congratulations!

Changing the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server Settings

1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express. Select Accounts from the Tools menu.

2. Click the Mail tab. Highlight your Kraus Online e-mail account. Click the Properties button.

3. Click the Servers tab. Check My server requires authentication under Outgoing Mail Server. Click Apply.

4. Click the Advanced tab. Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server port number to 587. Click OK.
